For all my clients, I would advice them to make payment on the date of completion. This is where all of at least most of the tasks have being completed.

Hi Serene, there is no "rules" as to when the commission is to be paid.

But generally, I always collect my commission from my Sellers after the sales completion. That's after they collected their sales proceeds from their sale of the HDB.

Usually tax invoice will be mailed out by company upon agent's submission and it will be stated pay within 14 days upon receipt.

Hi Serene,

A typical procedure of company is to generate the invoice and bill to the clients when the salesperson submits the case to company for resale application. The invoice usually states to pay the commission within 14 days of receipt of the invoice, however, you can communicate with your salesperson to defer the payment until the completion of sale. In my usual cases, sellers will usually pay after the sales proceeds cheque is cleared.

It is a good practice to pay the salesperson only upon completion of the sale. This is because the salesperson would have fulfilled all the required duties expected of a salesperson once the transaction is completed.

I usually collect the commission from my clients 2-3 days after the completion so that they have enough time to cash in their sales proceeds before paying me.
