Hi, currently owning a unit in centra suites located at geylang lorong 25A. It was a joint share with my friend. He intended to sell it but due to poor market, but no taker even letting go below valuation. Shall I take over his 50% share instead? Banker advices if I would to take over his 50%, I would need to buy at market price (estimated at 910k, so 50% is at 455k). But I was puzzle why I need to buy at market price whereby stranger could buy it below valuation. Last offered by agent was at 750k. Please advise.

This is personally between you and your joint-owner... if he is willing to sell you below valuation... but you will have to pay the stamp-duty for the extra 50% share based on an official valuation. Let me know the unit and size and I can try to find a buyer for you as an alternative... Lawrence - Huttons @ 93365201  Read More
