It depends on your working style & preference. Selecting 1 agent whom you are comfortable with to work with you long-term will be more beneficial as its a win-win arrangement. In a typical scenario, as long as condition of unit is ok and expected rental and restrictions are realistic, 1 agent can do the job anytime, while in contrast, if all conditions are unrealistic, engaging 10 agents can also be futile.

Your concern will of course be, who to choose then? Perhaps a team or individual with track record in handling rental transactions and following up of issues throughout the tenure is most suitable?

Good morning landlord,

Nowadays most property owners choose to engage a few agents to market their property be it for sale or rental because they have the impression that more agents = more buyers which turns out to be untrue.

Supply of tenants and buyers are the same be it how many agents you engage.

The downside of having too many agents is that you will create competition among themselves thus they will advertise your unit at the lowest price to attract clients. This is definitely not to your advantage.

I will advise you to engage just a single agent to market your property. If the response is not good over a period, it might be down to the market conditions. There are too many vacant units at the time being and usually market is slower during festive period.
