Hi All, need some advice. We rented a condo for a year.We moved out 14th and just recently the LL agent told us that there are water leakage on the bathtub, common toilet and common room which cost $7k for a repair. During our stay, we never encounter leakage from the bath tub and only one instance that the lower unit came up to check for the leakage on the common room and toilet. The deposit is currently with the LL and seems they wanted to forfeit the deposit. Agent called us to ask us to pay for $1k out of $7k. Should we be liable as tenant of the repair cost? Thanks a lot!
