hi all,

if there is agent posting ads room for rent on behalf of owner to look for tenant. did they still eligible to collect agent fee from tenant?
since they already represent landlord/owner to look for tenant

Dear sir/madam,

If landlord does not pay commission for certain marketing assignment where the salesperson are expected to collect commission from tenant, the salesperson should put it up front to the tenant right at the beginning to avoid any misunderstanding moving forward.

Hi, some agents are are still collecting commission from tenant because their landlords are not paying them. But the rule of thumb is that agent is not suppose to collect commission from both their tenant and landlord, and this is deem to be a serious offence.
