Hi,
1) Only an SC family is allowed to rent out the whole HDB flat upon MOP.
2) SPR family only allowed to rent out rooms.
3) All HDB flats are allowed to be put up to sell in the open market upon meeting MOP.
4) For those who sell back to the HDB will be ready for a monetary loss of at least 20% from the market, it could be even lesser though.
5) The HDB will encourage owners to sell in the open markets rather than to them. The HDB will have more problems buying them back.
6) If your flat is under MOP, you may put up an appeal to the HDB to allow you to sell in the open market:
