Dear potential buyer,

Every one has to guard their own interest, and where listings are concern, they will directly affect our income therefore many of us are not compromising on the potential where our listings can get undercut.

Like it or not, perhaps you are not in our trade and have not experienced such undercutting before, therefore we seek your understanding if we are unable to divulge full details because at the end of the day, we are just trying our best to protect our rice bowl.

We have recent cases where agents act as buyers to fish unit information such that they approach owners directly and list is within their portfolio for sale. We also have buyers who viewed the property through us direct and approached the owner directly to make an offer. There are just black sheeps in the industry where we have no choice but to protect ourselves.

Hi, personally I feel that yes you have a point but every one is different, the same goes to agents as well. As for me, I would always love to give the full address to potential buyer as well as tenant only if that unit is my exclusive.

Hi,

I'm truly empathize your encountering experience.

Most of the reasons were reflected by my comrades over here.

But, what was the main reason behind that you prefer to arrange your own viewing might be the same reason why most information are secretive.
In fact, it is considered as taboo in the trade to even ask for them. As information are confidential to protect our seller privacy.

Some seller does not wish that their neighbours are aware that they are selling for example, thus, requested for such secrecy.

This is why we are here to buffer all these frustrations and find out as much info as possible to allow our buyer to decide whether to view the unit.
