Hello to all
My hubby is a PR and I am 56 and still working and we do not children. Upon selling our hdb, we thought of renting a house and not plan to purchase any.
Any advice - good or bad idea?
We plan to retire in his country - Europe.

Hi Mdm,

Thanks for posting in Propertyguru.

This is a very wide topic. I guess a lot needs to be discussed before I can actually advise you further. A lot of factors needs to be considered, factors like when are you going over to Europe and stuff.

Maybe if you are fine, we can actually meet up for a discussion. No worries as there are no obligations and we can just take it as a chat. Another reason will be also it is very difficult to discuss such matters over public media like this.

Many of my clients have left testimonials for me and you may read them on my website, www.jeffreyheng.com. Hopefully you can have a glimpse of how the I serve my clients. I believe I will be able to provide some good advice to you also.

Looking forward to hear from you soon! Cheers!

Hi,

I'm a bit curious what triggered such plans, especially as the hdb matrimonial home probably holds some sentimental value for you.. Thanks and hope to understand your plans and objectives better before making further recommendations.

Warm regards

Evening,

As you have achieved retirement age, the CPF component from the sales of your unit will be locked in retirement account. Only limited sum will be available for further use on purchase of property. After sales, you are looking at rental which will likely eat into your savings. Hence it would be advisable that you and your spouse work out on some concrete plan before physically executing it.

Hi,

Re: One Stop Services for SG properties

The money from the HDB sales seem to be struck in CPF. You will balance the priority first, temporary or permanent decision.

Loan also an issues if you decide to buy back hdb in later date.
