Hello, I am first time renting hdb and a replacement tenant. I got into tenacy agreement. Paid security deposit and stamp duty. As I was replacement tenant my contract is from starting of next month however moved in 10 days earlier. On moving found that master room 's and common room shared wall is not there. Rather partition is made using wardrobe. I wasn't aware of this and when I viewed the house in the night I never saw this and never realized that it could happen. Behind the partition is unused old items. As I am asthmatic to dust and on heavy medicines , it could impact my health. I would like to request owner to allow me to leave. Would I get my security deposit back. I never thought that wall may be missing. Please advise.
