Good morning Sir/ Mdm,

There are US citizens who had purchased property in Singapore.

I recently assisted a US citizen to purchase a private apartment with my colleague. He purchased it without seeing the actual unit but did came over to take a look after that.

As for managing the property, you can engage me to handle the maintenance/ upkeeping of the unit and source for qualified tenants for management fee.

By the way, I am not certain whether you know about this. Usually foreigner has to be taxed 15% additional buyer's stamp duty (ABSD) on top of buyer's stamp duty for their residential property purchase in Singapore. But under the Free Trade Agreements, US citizen will be accorded the same treatment as Singaporean. No ABSD for first property.

Happy to share that for citizen holding an American passport, the stamp duty is likened to that of a local and it is payable at 3%, instead of the usual 18% for any foreigner. Good news , because you are american citizen and buying first residential property in singapore , you only have to pay the lowest rate stamp duty , equivalent to local singaporean buying their first property , amounting to only 3% stamp duty payable .
