HDB Rental - Agent commission
I am currently renting a whole HDB unit. This one i got through propertyguru last year, actually that unit was posted by the Agent who was representing the Owner.
I have liked the unit and registered, earlier i thought the Agent was representing me but later i realised that same agent was representing the owner as well. At the time of contract last year, i paid the agent commission and similarly the owner paid commission. So he took commission from both parties.
I didnt think its fair, because how can someone represent you who is also representing the owner??
Can someone please clarify on this? Because i wanted to do renewal this year and i want to make sure either he represent me if i have to pay him the renewal commission or i dont pay him anything and let him represent the owner.
