Hacked living room wall not declared when purchasing of flat.
My fiance and I after many months of searching for a flat decided to settle for 5 room flat we were really keen on. Price of flat was around the average price of similar flats around the area.
During viewing everything was normal and nothing seems to be amiss only one of the rooms entrance was relocated. Decided to purchase flat and the next time we met the owners was to complete the purchase at HDB office. After signing had a chat with the owners and told them what we had in mind for renovation works and one of the owners said to be careful not to mount anything on the living room TV wall as it is plaster board. This was the first time we got to know that where wasn't a physical wall.
Consulted the ID about this issue and quoted that it will set me back close to $8k to put the wall back up.
My question is, is there anyway I can get the owners to reinstate the wall back?
appreciate your answers, many thanks!
