Good morning. Pls share your advices should we buy SBF or resale flat. We are currently renting house that is expensive and looking to purchase house. I am Pr, husband is Singaporean and he boughtBTO before. there is $20000 fee if we buy house from HDB. and May I know how long to get SBF?

You may wish to apply for HFE first. This will allow you to have a clearer understanding on the amount of loan you qualify for, which you can in turn work out a comfortable budget.

Resale flat will be a more stable option as it is only down to making the right offer for the seller to accept, as well as it is easier to work out on the timeline where you can takeover the property.

For SBF, it is most of the time down to your luck to be selected to choose your flat and depending on the status of the flat available for purchase, the waiting time for key collection varies.
