Due to job reallocation, my family & I will head to oversea. If I want to lease out my condo (2 bedrooms)for some rental income, what is the best way to make sure the place has been well looked after & has a stable rental income during our absent? Any suggestion?

Evening, You can engage an agent to be the caretaker of your apartment. You will also require a POA to work on your legal documentations, during your absence. Do feel free to contact me if you require further assistance. Regards Mike Lim 96929209  m52i@yahoo.com ERA Read More

Hi Mr Siu Pak I have assisted landlord to rent out their unit while they are working overseas for long term and of course ensuring that the rental income is transferred on time monthly. Pls feel free to give me a call and we could discuss on this issue further. Regards Aaron 97308455  aaronchong2774@yahoo.com.sg Read More

Dear Mr Siu Pak, What you can probably do to avoid having to pay property management fees is to engage a friend or relative here in Singapore as your Power of Attorney where he or she can help ensure that rental is transferred on monthly basis while any issues pertaining to your property will be attended to. Of course, if the management fees is not an issue to consider, you may just leave all these matters in the hands of the professional to work on. Most importantly, the managing agent or Power of Attorney should not be the salesperson you appointed for the rental in my own opinion in order to avoid any conflict of interests. I can link you up with the contact person of the managing agent if you require. Is there anything else I can assist you in? Dear Mr Siu Pak, If there are viewing before you leave for overseas, you can also access the tenants during the viewing. Afterall, eventually it will be good if you have a caretaker or someone to take charge when you are not around. And of course, you can also leave it to the hands of me to aid you throughout your absence. As mentioned, you will require a POA if you are overseas at that point of time. Thanks.
