Hi Ms Kan, at the present moment, both you and your husband are only allowed to buy private condominium or EC that all of 5 years in age. You do not have to dispose your overseas property for this case. But do be aware of the additional buyer stamp duty (absd) that will be impose on the property purchase by PR. If you convert to SC, you are eligible to buy brand new EC with your husband. But do note that you will have to dispose your overseas property. ABSD of 5% on top of BSD of 3% is applicable for SPR who purchases their first residential property in Singapore. In terms of loan, you will also be subjected to TDSR therefore it is prudent to speak to a banker to plan out financially on your intended purchase.
