Dear Sir/Madam,
Would you be able to clarify if it's possible that portion of the agent fee we paid (for 2 year lease) can be returned to us because we were unable to finish the 2 year tenancy agreement? We need to move out as the unit we rented was sold.
I have informed our agent about our situation and was told that he would get back to us after he talk to the owner of the unit we rented. Weeks passed and we have not heard from him. While waiting for him, we met another agent who helped us get a unit where we can transfer in. She told us that we don't need to pay her any agent fee.
Since our previous agent required us to pay an agent fee for 2 years lease, but we were only able to stay in the unit for less than a year, we are hoping that portion of the agent fee we paid to him could be returned to us. Would you be able to advise if this is possible?
Thanks,
AJ
