Would it be cheaper to buy MOP EC than Private Condo?

and may I know if my PR is yet to be 3years, am I eligible to buy MOP EC?
what will be the initial payment like? same as HDB scheme?

Hi,

MOP ECs are generally priced slightly lower than a private condo of the same age at the same location. However, the gap has narrowed over the past years.

Yes you are eligible to buy MOP EC even though your PR status is less than 3 years.

The payment scheme for a MOP EC is similar to private condo when you will need to pay min 20% downpayment (consisting of min 5% cash) + stamp fee (5+3%), legal fee etc.

Yes, EC is definitely priced lower than private condo. And yes, you are eligible to buy a MOP EC. I have a PR couple who is in the same situation as yours, and I brought them to view a few units at La Casa EC as it has just turned 5 years ago. They ended up buying a unit.
