You'd only be eligible for the proximity housing grant if you're staying near your parents; the family grant is not for single buyers.

The selling price would defer greatly based on the location in Bedok; right now a 3-room flat in Bedok Central (5+ years old) is going for $400k - $500k.

Hi,

Since you earn 6k and more, there are no grants applicable and you can't take hdb loan. Proximity housing grant requires you to add in your parents names, which means they have to sell their current place, which I believe is not in your plans.

For 3-rm flats around 10 years old in Bedok, there's bedok linear green (blk 22x & 21x) you can consider. 3-rm should be 400-500k depending on unit condition, size, facing and floor etc.

Hi Sir/Mdm,

You may apply for the Proximity Housing Grant (PHG) of $10,000. The rest of the grants are not open to you due to your high income. However, your parents will need to be occupiers of the HDB in order for you to qualify.

For Bedok, newer flats are those located near Bedok Central. You should be looking at a budget of between 400k to 500k for a 3 room flat. You may want to consider the older ones as well as prices are lower with more spacious layout. The money saved can be channelled into renovations or other investments.
