If you have fulfilled the MOP and your household has at least one Singaporean, you are eligible to purchase a private property while keeping your HDB.

Hi Yijun,

If you have fulfilled the MOP of 5 years, and there is an SC in the hdb household, yes you can purchase 2nd private residential property and keep the HDB and condo. May I understand your requirements and plans further so to value-add?

Evening Mr. Pan,

If the MOP have being fulfilled, you will be eligible to purchase second property without the need to sell away the HDB unit. However, depending on who is the owner of the second property the amount of ABSD payable will vary. In the case where your current unit is still on mortgage, you will only be eligible for 50% loan. You will also be required to set aside the CPF minimum sum before you are eligible to utilize the extra CPF funds on the second purchase.

Hi Yijun,

Yes you will be allowed to purchase a condo as a 2nd property while keeping your HDB. However, do note that if a SC and SPR were to purchase a 2nd property together, the higher tier Additional Buyer Stamp Duty will apply.
