Hi Carol, I am unsure if this buyer has indeed buy from another agent or not but how was the communication done? There are cases I have heard via grapevines that buyers resort to this to claim further discounts to units they want to buy, some even wants back the bank referral fees which agents have in order to purchase with them. You may well forgo these clients as you are unlikely to gain anything out from them despite helping them get the best deal. If indeed the buyer has purchased through the other agent, you have every right to file a complaint through CEA especially so when there is transactional records between this buyer and that agent which the agent cannot deny.
