Dear Guru, I'm currently 26 and recently got my first condo that will be completed at 2018. If I want to get a hdb with my future spouse, what's the estimated age? Can i switch my condo name to my dad or add my future spouse name. What's your advise if we still want to gain the grant from govt

Hi,

Should you get a HDB flat with your future spouse, you will need to sell off your condo within 6 months of completion of your HDB purchase.

Take note that Seller Stamp Duty (SSD) applies should you sell off your condo within 4 years of your purchase.

If your dad were to take over your condo, he has to ensure he has the ability to finance the loan. No problem if you were to add your spouse name in to help finance the property. However, do take note that SSD and BSD still applies in this case.

You will only be able to take CPF housing grant if you sell off your condo, wait out for 30 months, then buy a HDB flat.

Should you need any further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Robbie Chen
