Currently my parents' house (private apartment) is under my mum's name. My dad's concern is, would it be better if he adds his name to this property or just leave this as current situation since they are husband and wife.

I need to know what is the main concern of your dad? It is ok to leave the status as it is since they are spouse or your mum can go to a law firm and make a WILL.

I would suggest to leave it status quo. To address some of your dad's concern, the easiest easy and possibly cheaper way is to go to a Law firm and do a will. Infact all property owners should have a will. It only costs about $200-300 plus to do one. Read More
