The answer is yes, you may purchase an EC (new construction) after you sell your HDB Exe flat. You may also purchase an EC while staying in the HDB Exe flat but will need to sell within 6 months of the EC TOP.

There will be a new launch for an EC in Punggol and I am a core team member. This likely will be the only EC launch this year.

Yes you can purchase a new EC or condo after selling the hdb flat. In fact it may be better to do so as it will take a longer time to find a buyer in current softer market.

Hi,

You are eligible to purchase a resale EC or a private condo (new launch or resale) after you sell your executive HDB flat.

However, in order to qualify for a brand new EC, there are still some conditions to meet.

1) There must be at least a Singapore Citizen in your family nucleus. 2 SPRs are not eligible.

2) You must not have "enjoyed" 2 times subsidized housing.

3) Your household combined income should not be more than $14,000 per month.

If you have the funds for the purchase, you can choose to purchase first, and then sell off your HDB flat within 6 months upon the purchase.

Dear Sir/Mdm,

In my opinion, upgrading to a condo will be a better option as compared to a new EC or a resale EC in terms of future upside potential.

For new EC, the psf price are higher as compared to previous ECs because of inflated land price. These new ECs are also not located near amenities and therefore the upside may be limited in the future. For resale EC, the bulk of the gain will be enjoyed by the first owner and your upside as a 2nd owner may be quite limited.
