currently i hav a private property in malaysia and me and my wife would like to buy a resale hdb. both of us are pr,we noted that now buying hdb must dispose any private property within 6 mths no matter in local or oversea. what to do if we do not wan to sell the malaysia property.thanks.

Afternoon CK,

You can choose to transfer the property to your parents or someone who you can trust.
As long as both your wife and your name are not stated in the ownership of any property, you are safe.

Hi,

You could always transfer your names out of the property. If its in your parents' names, its best they could make a will to facilitate the transfer. Once you have fulfilled the Minimum occupancy period,You can revert.
