Can someone please explain why buyers can accept living near MRTs (above ground) and main roads with answers like 'If you close all your doors and windows, you cannot hear anything'?
We purchase a house to live in, not to close ourselves up.
After many years of living close to MRTs, the sound of the train passing become part of everyday background noise acceptance.
Is this good for general mental health and well-being?
