you should check with the agent who do this transaction. Lately I have come across many disputes for rentals especially room rentals given that the market for rental is extremely crazy with record high prices being done. this can be potentially 1 way that landlord seek for higher rental when they drive away the existing tenant for a new tenant who pays higher rental.
