Hi,

Yes can use CPF to pay for stamp duties. But typically, you need to pay in cash first and reimburse from your CPF later (if sufficient monies). May I know are you referring to under construction or resale projects? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans further.

Hi There,

to be more accurate, it would be good to know if the 2nd property you are keen on is a Resale or a Building Under Construction project (aka New Launches)?

The above differs to how one may utilise his CPF for ABSD. Here is how it works and other factors you need to consider:

Resale or BUC:-

both must set aside Minimum Sum (MS). BUC after setting aside MS, u can use CPF for ABSD.

Resale after setting aside MS, you need to use cash 1st then later your lawyer will help you get it reimburse from your CPF.

I can easily be contacted @ 81860101  to help you further along the way. This includes how to determine the resale unit or new launch you are zooming in is worth to buy or better to stay clear. I may be even able to help you restructure/gear up your current asset and you still end up with 2 properties, presumably 1 for own stay and the other to collect rentals for passive income, PLUS, cash on hand for a rainy day :)

Yes you can pay stamp duties by CPF OA funds but CPF board might not be able to release the funds in time to pay IRAS thus law firm will advise you to pay in cash first.

Unless you are purchasing a new launch then you might not be encountering this problem.
