Hi Grace,

The downpayment is based on the purchase price.

Up to $5k as option deposit will need to pay to seller to obtain and exercise the option to purchase. Balance cash and CPF downpayment will need to be payable at least 3 weeks before completion (2nd appointment).

Hi,

The 5% cash + 15% cpf is based on actual purchase price. The $5k option deposit will form part of the 5% cash, and the balance downpayment needs to be ready by 1st appointment as all the financing issues are settled then with the hdb resale officer present. Hi Grace,

The downpayment is calculated based on the purchase price; however, if the valuation is less than the purchase price, the downpayment would be based on the valuation (you'd need more cash as there would be COV). Do note that BSD & ABSD (if applicable) would still be based on the purchase price which is the higher value.

In addition, although any housing grant would be disbursed into your CPF OA, it cannot be used to offset the downpayment directly.
