Can I, a Singapore PR (Malaysia Citizen) purchase a property in Malaysia (with my sibling) when I just purchased a BTO unit with my husband (Singaporean) about a year ago? Will there be any problem for that when I am getting my BTO in 2016?

Hi,

You can't purchase any overseas property within 5 years of key collection to BTO. Neither can you purchase any overseas property during the construction period. If you do so, you will be rendered ineligible for your BTO application, thus they will forfeit your downpayment and terminate your BTO application. It is stated quite clearly when you sign the Agreement of Lease for BTO. Thanks and hope it clarifies.
