Can a PR tenant exercise diplomatic clause

Hi Edward,
It depends on whether there is any existing diplomatic clause in the tenancy agreement to be exercised and whether the conditions set forth in the tenancy agreement to determine if a PR can exercise diplomatic clause in a tenancy agreement. Most of the tenancy agreements which I have come across do not allow PR to exercise diplomatic clause as diplomatic clause is usually stated that unless the tenant is asked to leave Singapore where the visa status to stay in Singapore will be terminated.

It depends on whether there is any existing diplomatic clause in the tenancy agreement to be exercised and whether the conditions set forth in the tenancy agreement to determine if a PR can exercise diplomatic clause in a tenancy agreement. Most of the tenancy agreements which I have come across do not allow PR to exercise diplomatic clause as diplomatic clause is usually stated that unless the tenant is asked to leave Singapore where the visa status to stay in Singapore will be terminated.

PR tenants usually don’t have a diplomatic clause. You can only terminate early if your lease specifically includes a termination clause otherwise, early exit would need landlord’s agreement.
