Good morning, As long as you fulfill the minimum occupation period for your flat, you will be eligible and allowed to purchase a private property. You don't have to sell off your HDB as a household with at least one SC. Feel free to contact me if you need any assistance in your property purchase from shortlisting of suitable units, viewings and closing. Cheers! HI there, if you current own a HDB flat, as long as you have fulfilled staying in it for 5 years since the date of completion, you are permitted to purchase a private condo and not need to sell your HDB flat. However there are more concerns at the moment about keeping HDB flats that are older, if the HDB is reaching 30 years of age, your concern will be the future resale value of the HDB flat. Contact me for a financial analysis if you should keep and rent the HDB or sell and reinvest elsewhere. Read More
