I am assuming you are buying for investment. Comparing between the 2 areas which you have mentioned, in terms of capital appreciation, both areas are well proven.

But in terms of ease of rental and yield, then I feel that Marina Bay area edges it out a bit. To put it simply, compare the number of offices vs residences in CBD area. Majority of our expats work in the CBD area. The new Marina bay financial center is already 90% tenanted. Supply of residences in CBD area are few. This area also has great potential for growth seeing how the government has already singled out Tanjong Pajar as the next waterfront city.
