As a tenant of a Condo, how much advance notice (if any) does the law in Singapore stipulate that the property management company have to provide us before the commencement of major renovation works (lasting one month and including one full week of jack hammering), if we rent the unit immediately below the on being renovated? If the noise level in Db's is constantly above 75 between 9am and 5pm (i.e. above the levels published by NEA, can we make an official complaint of any kind? And does it break any code of ethics / law / guideline, or is it just morally reprehensible, that when leasing out an apartment to a tenant, the don't mention that the block bordering a particular unit is about to become a building site for the next three years?
