As a tenant, I have fulfilled the minimum 6 months period to give my one month notice for leaving the rented room. I was told now I have to pay the landlords agent a 'prorated commision'. This was not included in the contract and I was told in the beginning of my stay that the landlord was paying the agent fees and I wasnt paying any commiision fees. Now am I supposed to be the one to pay the prorated commision even though I have served the proper notice?

Afternoon,

You might want to present your TA to lawyer or small claim court in reference to this since you do not have an agent representing you.

Without presenting the tenancy agreement, we are unable to advise further other than directing you to the Small Claims Tribunal.

I am unsure what the salesperson who brokered this rental has prepared for the tenancy agreement, but all tenancy agreement I have prepared will come with the reimbursement clause should there be a premature termination clause within the agreement. This is the norm I assume that Onassis is referring to.

Thank you for your reply. My question now is, if it isnt in the contract, do I need to pay? Thank you
