Are there cases where the owner had impulsively bought an expensive(due to location) HDB flat under the Sale of Balance Flats option and would like to sell it off after 5 years to move to a more affordable(out of central location) flat? Can the remaining HDB loan be used to offset the purchase of the next flat? E.g is it possible for the sale of a 400K SOBF flat be used to purchase a resale flat which costs about 300-350K?

Evening,

Upon selling your BTO unit, your proceed with be computed after returning your CPF funds to your OA account, along with the interest and the outstanding loan. Should you opt to purchase a resale unit, you will need to apply for another mortgage loan.

Do contact me further for detail discussion.
