Any relatively cheap unit for sale which can gain a descent rental return? Instead of placing the money in the bank and earn nothing?

Hi Mr Wee,

It would be useful if you could share what's cheap in your opinion. There are plenty of options in the market that offers returns which is significantly higher than the interest earned from a regular savings/fixed deposit account.

Typically, the entry point for any completed properties with immediate rental yield starts from $600K onwards which means an initial investment capital of min $138K inclusive of stamp duty and legal fee.

Dear Lee,
Thanks for your reply. For a foreigner to own a unit usually have to fork out another 18 percent on top of the purchase price right for the stamp duty? And what is the average return will be in terms of interest?

Sure there are...Generally a 1 bedroom unit for investment would be from 600k.
