am I obliged to inform my tenant, say, if I want to sell my commercial unit? my tenant has given me on a month-to-month lease (after renting from me > 2 years),..and I am slowly trying to find subsequent tenant or to sell,....not decided yet. How ?

Hi,

You have a landlord/tenant relationship for past 2 years, it is normal and polite for you to inform your tenant that you are intended to sell the unit.

I believed the rent your tenant is paying is below current market rates and you may want to let your tenant know your revised rates.

Sometimes, it is a bit tricky to execute the above suggestion if you do not have a valid Tenancy Agreement.
