After signing the LOI and paying a "good faith" deposit the landlord has told me that there is a leak in the roof that will take 3 months to fix and therefore the deal is now off. I actually believe this to be a lie and that they have recieved a better offer after the LOI was signed. The reason i believe this is because even after signing the LOI the property was still being advertised by a number of different agents. Is there any governing body that i can make a complaint to regarding the landlord and where do i stand legally regarding this matter.

Hi Mr Steve

I believe you do not have any agent to represent you during those frustrating times...

To complain against errand agent, yes there is a channel. But not really towards landlord.
