Of course you can purchase and own 2 properties together.

5-year MOP for HDB applies if you want to buy a second property.

Do take note that there will be ABSD of 7% involved when you purchase your second property together.

However, there are ways for you and your spouse to own 2 properties and avoid paying ABSD.

Assuming you meant that you currently hold a hdb, once the 5 year minimum occupation period (MOP) is met, as long as you are SC, you are eligible to buy another private property and keep both hdb and private property, if the finances are comfortable.

Good afternoon,

Upon fulfilling the MOP for your HDB unit, you will be eligible to purchase your second property. Maximum loan is up to 50%, if your HDB is still on mortgage. You will also be required to set aside the CPF minimum sum if you are looking at using your CPF. ABSD of 7% is also payable.

Yes, as long as you purchased a HDB and fulfilled the minimum 5 years MOP, could purchase private condo and owned 2 properties together.

Do take note that Additional Buyer Stamp Duty apply for 2nd purchase.
