Good morning,

As you have just inherited private property, you are considered as the new owner. Seller stamp duty will kick in should you opt to purchase a resale HDB unit since you will be required to sell the private property within 6 months from key collection. Hence you might want to wait for another 4 years before proceeding with your plan.

Hi,

Should you inherit a private property, you can still buy a HDB flat. But take note that you will need to sell off the inherited private property within 6 months of completion of your HDB purchase.

If you bought a HDB and then inherited a private property, then there is no issues. You still have to fulfill your 5-year MOP.

Should you need any further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Robbie Chen
