The Housing and Development Board (HDB) launched 8,170 flats for sale in the year’s biggest Build-to-Order (BTO) exercise on Tuesday (12 November).
The launch includes 4,571 BTO flats in Tengah, Ang Mo Kio and Tampines, as well as 3,599 flats under the Sale of Balance Flats scheme within mature and non-mature estates, like Bishan and Clementi.
The three Tengah projects – Garden Vines @ Tengah, Plantation Village and Plantation Grange – offer two-room flexi to five-room flats as well as three-generation flats.
Excluding grants, prices start from $110,000 for a two-room flexi unit and $442,000 for a three-generation flat.
The 450 units offered in the Ang Mo Kio project, on the other hand, range from two-room flexi to four-room units, with prices starting from $145,000 for a two-room flexi. Called Yio Chu Kang Beacon, the project is located next to Presbyterian High School, near Yio Chu Kang MRT station.
Over in the Tampines, the 650-unit Tampines GreenSpring project offer two-room flexi to five-room units, with prices starting from $145,000.
Applications for the flats will close on 18 November.
The Straits Times reported that this is the second sales exercise following Minister for National Development Lawrence Wong’s announcement of higher grants and income ceilings for first-time home buyers.
Eligible buyers can enjoy up to $80,000 of the new Enhanced CPF Housing Grant, which places no restriction on flat type and location.
HDB announced that the next BTO launch will be held in February 2020, with 3,000 flats in Toa Payoh and Sembawang.
In May 2020, HDB will release another 3,700 flats in Pasir Ris, Choa Chu Kang, Tampines and Tengah.
