Good evening Piang Sze,

One of the applicants must be Singaporean in order to apply for HDB loan.

If not you can try to obtain a 80% loan.

As a SPR, your initial outlay will be 28% of purchase price.

1) 5% cash downpayment
2) 15% CPF OA funds/ cash downpayment
3) estimated 3% buyer's stamp duty (pay by cash first and will be reimbursed if you have excess after 15% CPF downpayment
4) 5% ABSD as a SPR (pay in cash)
5) legal fees, valuation fee, stamp duty for mortgage.

Maybe you can share more information in your finances so I will be in a better position to advise you.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi Piang Sze,

So both you and your wife are both SPRs? Have both of you fulfill SPR status of 3 years each respectively?

Based on your finances of $160k combined cash and CPF OA funds, you should be able to afford $575k property.

Any location you guys are looking at?

Btw Propertyguru doesn't prompt us when there's a reply to our post. If possible, we can communicate via mobile (whatsapp, viber, we chat) if not email will do as well.
