We recently terminated our lease of a shop(under hdb flats) early and there is a pro rata commission clause included in our tenancy agreement. We have had our 2 months worth of deposit forfeited. Could we negotiate on the pro rata commission? Is there a hard and fast rule on how much pro rata commission is to be paid? Is there room for negotiation? Can the landlord/landlord's agent refuse to negotiate?
