We own condo (recently bought) and hdb flat (which we've lived in for 11 years). We are now living in our condo. Could we rent out the hdb flat ? What are the acceptable reason could we give hdb when seeking for approval ?

As long as you have fulfilled your minimum occupation period, which I believe that you have, you can rent out your HDB.

Hi Pek Pek,

you do not need a valid reason to rent out your whole HDB flat as you have completed the MOP.

However, you would need to obtain approval from HDB to sublet the flat. The approval period is for one year and renewed on a yearly basis.
