Hi, for purchase of EC, you'll need to sell your HDB within 6 months after collecting your keys.

If your family income has exceeded 10k, you may want to consider buying a resale condo or new project. The advantage for buying resale condo is you can rent it out immediately. The rental can then be used to service your monthly installment. For new launches (even resale), it is to anticipate that the project will increase in value and sell at a profit eventually.

EC definitely have a good investment values, but I would recommend it only for those 1st timer or those who need a few more years before hitting the 10k income ceiling. And it is also good for those who is not planning to invest in 2nd property in the near future. Read More
