We engaged an agent to sell our hdb.Buyer found and buyer without agent.

After buyer exercised option and paid $5K to us,he submit to HDB but was rejected due to buyer PR less than 3 years.

What is my right as seller? What is my agent duties? Is he suppose to do due diligent for me?
Now i am stuck as we had collected our new BTO key and have to service monthly instalment for 2 property.What i can do? pls help

Evening,

Given such case, it's ideal to start to move forward and remarket your unit. Being your agent, he should have check if the buyer are eligible for the purchase but that does not mean that the buyers will release the necessary details. Being direct buyers, they should do their first line of validation by reading through the HDB guideline and the buyer's checklist.
