There are many Singaporeans forming holding companies to invest in industrial properties in Singapore. There are also many overseas investors doing the same. Legally, it's very straight forward and I can recommend you afew good company secretarial providers to setup the company.

As to what properties and which area to invest, I strongly recommend you to do some research. There are many industrial properties under construction right now, there will certainly be oversupply and they will hit the market over the next 6 to 18 mths. You have to invest in the right area and you need to have a good understand the various industrial clustering and growth trend.

Singapore Govt. is pushing certain industries out of Singapore into Iskandar and you definitely do not want to purchase new supply targeted at those industries.
