The condesing unit of the aircon spoilt. We are the tenant, there are 4 split type aircon in teh HDB we are renting. 1 each in 3 bedroom and 1 in the kitchen. When we first move in we remember asking the agent and owner that we will only maintain 3 units of aircon as we will not use the aircon in the Kitchen. We thought this is clear. So we maintain only every 3 months the 3 aircons and we have the receipt. Now that there is a problem with the condensing unit and we ask daikin for quotation, the cost to repair it will sum up to $1,200. We have told the agent and owner but the owner response is we have to bear the cost cause they did not agree that we only service 3 aircon. On our side, the condensing unit belong to owner and they should bear the whole cost. Am I right? what should we do as it is very inconvenient already to sleep without aircon.
