My parents have a 30 years old HDB that is worth around $400K. We are thinking of upgrading to a EM and planning to either (a)sell the existing one then get a EM or (b)keep the existing unit for rental income and then use my brother's name to buy the EM. Please advice. Agent welcome to contact me if you have owner selling.

Afternoon,

For such case, it would be good to work on the financial status before proceeding. Who are the buyers and does the buyers have enough CPF and cash to proceed with the purchase, after getting the loan? Is it within your budget, if you were to keep the HDB unit? Which area and what size are you guys looking at? There are many other factors to consider prior committment.
