Hi Shelly,

Why you want to sell the flat back to HDB? If you sell in the open market, you can definitely fetch more.

If you want immediate occupancy, then you need to buy from resale market. There are plenty of flats in the resale market for you to choose from.

I will be glad to assist you in the selling/buying of flats. Pls call me at 98628691  for further discussion.

Thanks.

Afternoon Shelley,

I can only assume that the court awarded the unit to your mum where no contest took place. There should be an update of the ownership hence it's good to check with HDB if your mum is required to fulfill the MOP.

As to selling the unit back to HDB might not be a smart move, if HDB allows the sales. Release it into the market can definitely fetch better returns.

If you are looking at buying from HDB, it would depend in how many subsidized unit your mum has enjoyed. If she's eligible, she would need to purchase it with her child who is under her custody. This might be an issue as if you are posting this question, I would assume that most of you are above 21 years of age. You might have some other plans of your own and implication can take place later. Else she can purchase resale unit from open market.

Do feel free to contact me if you require further assistance.

So long you have me the MOP, answer is yes you may sell the flat. However, very importantly you need to know what's the financial implication as the whole process takes place. Give me a call, I will arrange to do a assessment before you decide on what to do. 96477666  Read More
